# Best Air Fryers for Small Kitchens Source: https://tinykitchenpicks.com/best/best-air-fryers-small-kitchens Updated: 2026-10-02 Publisher: Tiny Kitchen Picks. Our score is an editorial rating out of 10 (fit 35%, features 25%, build 20%, value 20%), not a customer rating. Method: https://tinykitchenpicks.com/how-we-research#our-score Air fryer capacity is quoted as basket volume, which tells you very little about the space it will occupy on your worktop, and small-kitchen buyers should shop on footprint instead. As a rough guide, a 2 quart basket cooks a single portion, a 2.6 quart handles one generous portion or two small sides, and 4 quarts is the first size that genuinely feeds two people without cooking in batches. Going smaller than you need is the more common regret, because batch cooking in a tiny basket takes longer than the oven you were trying to avoid. Two practical constraints matter more than the marketing. First, clearance: these machines exhaust hot air from the back or top, and most manuals ask for several inches of clear space, so a fryer that fits under a wall cabinet in width may still be unusable in place. Second, the drawer action, since a basket that pulls straight out needs the same depth again in front of the unit to open. Prefer a removable non-stick basket and crisper plate that are genuinely dishwasher safe, as hand-washing a crisper plate is the reason many air fryers end up unused in a cupboard. Digital controls with presets are convenient but a simple dial is one less thing to fail, and a shake reminder is more useful than any preset. Check the wattage against your kitchen circuit if you plan to run it alongside a kettle. ## Picks ### 1.
